Jennifer Harman was born and bred in Reno, Nevada. She started her poker career young, at just eight years old, when she took her dad’s place in a home game. Her dad felt he had lost too much and wanted to see if his daughter could do better than he. And she could!
Her full-time career as a poker player didn't begin until Jennifer turned 21. She was particularly focused on limit hold’em and for many years played mainly middle limit hold’em. In the years that followed, she improved her game and her finances grew stronger and stronger. She gradually began to bet at higher and higher limits.
She currently plays regularly at the world’s largest cash game, the ”$4000/$8000 mixed game” at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas. Her opponents include poker pioneers such as Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey and Johnny Chan. Jennifer is just one of a very small group that takes part in this very “expensive” poker game and is therefore considered among the top elite in the discipline of poker.
Jennifer Harmann focuses mainly on cash games, but still gets good tournament results. She has won 2 WSOP bracelets. One in limit hold’em and the other in deuce-to seven draw. She is also part of the WPT tournament.
Jennifer is a frequently used spokesperson for the sport of poker, and has been in the media spotlight in recent years. She has appeared on several satellite channels and given interviews to poker magazines and other written media. She has also written a chapter in Super System 2, so she can also add writer to her CV.
Jennifer plays several times a week in Las Vegas.
